Claudia Cifu is a Finnish-Chilean freelance fashion editor and stylist who lives in Brooklyn. After getting her start at style publications like Trace and the Fader magazine in New York, she landed a position with two of the largest Scandinavian fashion magazines, Trendi and Elle Finland. As well as concepting center-of-book fashion editorials for several Finnish fashion magazines, she turned her hand to television, and appeared as a host and fashion expert on a popular style makeover show. That in turn led to a variety of high-profile styling projects, including lifestyle campaigns for the likes ofNokia and Burton, as well as collaborative design projects with cool local labels like CTRL. She’s also helped on the creative direction of Finnish heritage brand Marimekko, styling their runway shows, as well as compling trend reports or retail giants Cubus and H&M.

She moved back to New York to enrich her experience in the realm of high fashion, and worked with world renowned stylists like Harper’s Bazaar’s Elissa Santisi, Vogue’s Kathryn Neale and also worked under Venetia Scott as a fashion show coordinator at Marc Jacobs. She then went on to take an in-house styling position at Madewell (J.Crew), gaining considerable experience in the language of branding by working closely with creative director Somsack Sikhounmuong on forging a fresh look for the brand each season. She’s currently a regular contributor for Interview Magazine, Yahoo! Style and indie magazines like Tank, and counts Old Navy, Target, Intel, Maybelline and Opening Ceremony as commercial clients.
